It is not your typical castle hotel. Nor is it a ‘standard’ luxury resort. The Torre del Barbagianni is the most exclusive accommodation you could realistically include in your itinerary, for one simple and extremely rare reason: Gropparello Castle has just one suite. This means that, during your stay, you will be the only guests staying in the castle.
The suite is situated above the drawbridge, at treetop height, and comprises four interconnecting rooms. From the windows, you can enjoy views on three sides and, on the fourth, of the inner courtyard: a view whose light and atmosphere change throughout the day.
Even the bathroom is part of the experience: a shower carved into the rock and chromotherapy. A surprising detail that makes the Torre del Barbagianni even more memorable.
The difference compared to a lovely castle hotel is fundamental: here, you’re not booking ‘room 207’ in a historic building. Here, you’re booking the only suite in a private castle.
On request, you can round off your stay with a special dinner: a romantic dinner in the Medieval Tavern or an exclusive dinner inside the castle (subject to availability).
