Summer evenings at the Castle and the Tavern
STARRY NIGHTS
An evocative name to describe an evening we’re offering every weekend throughout the summer. Every Friday, Saturday and Monday, you can book this all-inclusive experience, which features a splendid three-course dinner – starter, first or second course, and dessert – chosen from the à la carte menu. Drinks not included.
The evening concludes with a marvellous journey through the castle’s history, atmosphere and legends.
Dinner at 7.30 pm | Castle tour at 10.30 pm

Dinner
In the Taverna's secret garden, among grape arbors, rose beds, and Mediterranean plants, you'll dine by candlelight in a romantic, natural atmosphere, savoring dishes that blend Emilian tradition, Tuscia cuisine, and excellent local produce.
Elia Rizzi, Chef of the Taverna for two years, is emerging as a talent thanks to his technical ability, his extensive knowledge of raw materials, combined with a passion for experimentation.
Castle
In Gropparello, a small village at the foot of the first Emilian Apennines, a land of Ligurians and then Romans, on a property that Charlemagne donated to the Bishop of Piacenza in 808, stands one of the oldest castles in Italy. Perfectly preserved and still inhabited, Gropparello will enchant you with its beauty: the majestic gorges that protect it, the charm of its architecture, its beautiful interior rooms, and its legends.
